Laser-assisted lipolysis allows physicians to reduce fat and perform body toning in a minimally invasive way compared to traditional liposuction methods.  We offer Smartlipo TriPlex™ which is the latest technology of Smartlipo (Cynosure, Inc.) and the most advanced laser lipolysis system available.  This patented, proprietary technology enables us to not only better remove fat and perform high definition laser body sculpting and  contouring, but also to simultaneously tighten skin and supplement or augment traditional methods of cellulite treatment.  Further, we can effectively treat localized fat deposits in the face and body and areas of high vascularity and flaccidity.  The procedure is performed in an office visit and causes minimal downtime.

How Does Smartlipo TriPlex™ Work?
The procedure is performed using a small cannula (tube) about the size of the tip of a pen which is inserted under the skin.  Through this cannula, laser energy is delivered directly to the fat cells causing them to rupture while producing new collagen resulting in tissue tightening.  The liquefied fat is then gently suctioned out.  Further, the three laser wavelengths contained in Smartlipo TriPlex™ allows us to customize treatments based on the nature of your concerns.

What are the advantages of Smartlipo TriPlex™ over conventional liposuction procedures?
First, both treatments remove fat but unlike Smartlipo TriPlex™, conventional liposuction can leave behind loose skin.  Second, because only local anesthetic (as opposed to general anesthesia) is required you are awake during the procedure which leads to a faster and easier recovery.  We can also create a high definition, sculpted look by defining waistlines in women and abdominal muscles in men (six pack).

Is there a recovery period?
The procedure is minimally invasive.  Some light bruising may occur, but you will be able to return to normal activities within a day or two.

How do I know if Smartlipo TriPlex is right for me?
